life drawing workshop : laura

Laura was the model for this week's life drawing workshop. I kind of messed up her arm ... and hand (left drawing) and didn't have enough time to correct it, but I was able to recover with the last pose (right drawing). There are so many details that make a huge difference on the final result, I can see why taking life drawing classes is important. 

Foreshortening is something I'd like to improve as well as being able to better represent the human form. I think I'm getting better, but there's still a lot of things to work on technically. After that,  I might start to play with various mediums. It's inspiring to see what medium other artists use and the different results they get with watercolour, markers, color pencils, even ipads.
